The tension was sparked by intended retaliatory attacks by rival gangs in the estate on Wednesday and Thursday nights.

A section of residents on Monday disclosed that so far the situation has been contained by the police.

"So far everything is in order.People are going about their business normally and we thank the police for doing their job well," said Dismas Kuria, a resident.

His sentiments were echoed by Asman Wekesa who added that the weekend had been without ugly incidences.

"So far the police presence has gone down but we've had a relatively calm weekend devoid of any schism," he said.
