According to him, the religious leaders have the mandate of preaching peace and bringing reconciliation to the communities in the area.

He added that as religious leaders, it would be wrong for them to stand back and watch people hurting each other.

"Church leaders should not sit at the fence, we should be involved. Let us not let the government to deal with the situation in Olposimoru alone. The church has the mandate from God to bring peace to the world and as a result, I urge all the religious leaders to talk to all those parties in conflict as soon as possible," stated the Bishop.

He has also urge the religious leaders to join hands with the government in its effort to restore calm and peace in the area.

"There is a saying in Chinese that says when there is war, it is the young men who die and when there is peace, young men burry the old. It is my prayer as a bishop that we should not fear anything . We should join the government in bringing together those from the Maasai Community and those from the Kipsigis Community because they are brothers. They are our brothers," said the bishop.
