Residents of Nakuru West constituency have appealed to area MP Samuel Arama to ensure fairness is upheld when awarding education bursaries to students.

 The residents said before, bursary awards were marred with favouritism leaving out needy students who rightly deserved to benefit.

"We want our MP to intervene in this issue so that as parents, our children will not be denied bursaries like last time when favouritism reigned supreme," claimed Joel Manoah, a parent.

His sentiments were echoed by Joyce Ongeri who lamented that students from well off families were the only ones beneffiting because they had godfathers in the CDF committe.

She, however, called upon Mr Arama to ensure that this time round, all students benefit irrespective of their financial background.
