Residents of Makutano town in Mwala sub-county Machakos county woke to a shocking incident on Friday morning after body of a 30-year-old man was found dumped in an abandoned house in the area.
The man known by name as 'Kavii' is said to have been working in the market where he used to fetch water and carry languages for traders before he was allegedly brutally murdered.
Confirming the incident Mwala OCPD Henry Rukaria said that the man had bruises and was bleeding from the mouth, nose and ears.
"The residents reported the matter after they found the body, police have commenced investigations into the murder," said Rukaria.
Nonetheless the residents want the police to ensure their security as this incident is similar to other two that happened last month where two middle aged men were found dead in Mbaikini and Nunga areas where the perpetrators have never been apprehended.
The body of the man was taken to Machakos level five hospital mortuary.
