The leaders were told campaigns had not began and that it was time to work for the betterment of the county.

Speaking to this writer in Manyatta on Wednesday, Kisumu Central constituency Youth Bunge Chairman Benson Onoka said the leaders promised a lot to residents during their campaigns in the last general elections.

Mr Onoka said some of the promises are yet to be fulfilled by the leaders.

He said the governor, senator, women representative and MCAs should strive to fulfill their promises.

"We are almost getting into the next general election and it is about time that all the leaders strive to deliver quality services to the residents of Kisumu. Kisumu is one of the counties that have been lagging behind in terms of development,"said Onoka.

The Youth Bunge Chairman challenged nominated MCAs to be on the forefront on issues development and proper governance.

"We are well aware that the nominated leaders will seek election come next year and this is why it is necessary for them to deliver to the people of Kisumu," he said.

"Let them initiate projects aimed at empowering the less privileged in the society."
