Some youths in Kibera decided to welcome the month of February in style. The youths bought balloons, filled them with air and burst them as a sign of celebrating the new month.
Usually, an occasion like this happen, December 31, when people are crossing over to the new year. It was quite a funny experience that attracted quite a number of people. The activity took place at the DC market. Youths said January was quite a hard month for them and they felt their 2016 just begun on Monday 1, February 2016.
''This month has been tough.It is the month I made a lot of discoveries. I'm glad it is over,'' said Ferdinand Felix, one of the youths in the area.
Another youth, Brian Ongeri, said he discovered that he drink take a cup of tea with one mandazi and still be full.
''I realised the bread I usually buy is too expensive I know if. I have fifty shillings, it could cater for my breakfast for a whole week. I also discovered that there are places where bread costs sh35,'' he said.
