Speaking after gracing a funds drive for the purchasing of balls and playing kits for the Rongai talent rugby club on Friday, Rongai MP Raymond Moi cautioned youth against engaging in crime, alcoholism and drug abuse saying that it was a waste of time.

He applauded the move of forming a sports club something he believes would engage many youths in the area.

"Your today's actions will definitely have an impact in your future life, choose to live wisely so as not to regret later," he advised.

Moi noted that many young people were suffering because of being ignorant ant greedy.

"You guys are the leaders of tomorrow when you meet in such gatherings, brainstorm on how best you can help transform Rongai to a place all of us will be proud of, don't just plan on how you will drink and party," he said.

The rugby club brings together former and current high school, universities and college students who have decided to use sports to promote peaceful co-existence in the larger Rongai sub-county and Nakuru as a whole.
