After losing the Nyangores seat to a member of the opposition party, Jubilee party seems to be putting the deputy president under pressure to deliver in Kericho, come the next by- elections.

According to the residents, DP Ruto’s candidate lost because the DP had made promises he did not keep.

This made Ruto apologise to the residents of Kericho County over his unfulfilled promises. He told them not to feel neglected by the government based on the unfulfilled pledges.

Residents accused Jubilee of not supporting them in anything yet they fully supported the party during the elections.

Ruto’s plea seems to have fallen on deaf ears since the people’s mind has already been made up. Others even openly declared that they were ditching Jubilee to KANU. They said they will back the KANU party candidate Paul Sang.

Kericho is set to go to the by- election on March 7, 2016, where Jubilee candidate, Aaron Cheruiyot will fight for the senate seat of the county with KANU’s, Paul Sang.
