Deputy president William Ruto on Sunday called on all politicians to embrace politics that unite people and not dividing them.
Ruto spoke about this while attending an interdenominational church service that took place at Tulon High School, Nandi County, where he urged other political parties to copy the mission of Jubilee party which is to unite all Kenyans regardless of their religion or tribe. He said politicians should quit the old age politics which does no good to people as it divides them.
''We should unite and fight the challenges facing our country as one people of one nation. By so doing, we will better Kenya,'' said Ruto.
Milka Mwaura from Olympic Kibera said the deputy president is right but said he should lead by example.
''How many times have we seen Ruto abuse his opponents? He sometimes attacks the CORD leadership in war of words. He should be a good example by not dividing people but uniting them as he wishes all politicians to unite people,'' said Mwaura.
She, however, said politics is a dirty game and will only be cleansed if politicians put away their self-interest and fight to bring all Kenyans together.
