As every person mentioned in the NYS saga is trying to clear up their name, other suspects are being mentioned in the scam.
The people being mentioned are those who have been saying they will fight the corruption vice yet they are the ones involved in the scandal that left the poor Kibera youth helpless.
Kibera youths were among the beneficiaries of the NYS project since they were getting their daily bread from the cleanup project which was run by NYS under the Ministry of Devolution and Planning.
Among those mentioned in the new chapter on Tuesday were senior government officers CS Henry Rotich, Aden Duale and Senator Kipchumba Murkomen.
In the affidavit presented by the former devolution and planning CS Anne Waiguru, some payments amounting to sh800 million were for companies associated with finance CS Henry Rotich who is alleged to have been Deputy President William Ruto’s point man. She also mentioned Ruto’s personal assistant, Farouk Kibet in the scam.
She, however, revealed that Duale and Murkomen had earlier threatened the former assistant director of NYS, Aden Harakhe to instruct the DCI to stop the investigations or else there would be severe consequences.
