This was verified by the school's headteacher Mr.Kennedy Mutunga who said that some of the school's classrooms had their walls completely collapsed while others had their roofs carried away by the strong winds accompanying the rains.

"The heavy rains have weakened the bricks of most of the buildings in the school thus leading to the collapse of several classes and the school's kitchen to be completely destroyed," explained Mr.Mutunga.

The headteacher has called upon the Machakos county government to assist in the repair and strengthening of the school structures as the schools are closed for December holidays so as to ensure that studies commence without interruption or any inconveniences come January, the first academic term of 2016.

The headteacher also asked parents to take extra care of their children especially during this dangerous season when the country is experiencing heavy rains which is causing flooding and other calamities thus posing danger to the children.
