The Kibera MP, Ken Okoth, has questioned ICT Kenya on why they picked the selected schools to carry out the digischools project.

The schools selected were Dagoretti, Embakasi, and Kasarani primary schools. Okoth said the schools were selected from constituencies with Jubilee MPs.

''All pilot schools in Nairobi are in constituencies with Jubilee MPs, Why?'' asked Okoth, via his facebook page.

The question has raised mixed reactions from a section of youths in Kibera.

One the youths, Kanini wa Maina, said she thinks it’s only children of Jubilee supporters who study in the selected schools.

Fazul Ochere, another youth, asked the same question and congratulated the MP for the observation he had made.

David Osurwa, however, said he has no problem with the selection if the MPs were from CORD or Jubilee since the beneficiaries were young children who don’t know who CORD is or what Jubilee means.

''We should not politicise the matter. Let us learn that sometimes things just happen even when they were not intended for the said outcome. Maybe those who selected the schools were not even aware that the MPs from the areas were Jubilee supporters. I think the issue was not political oriented,'' said Osurwa.
