Extension officers have been challenged to sensitise residents on how to embrace Zero grazing which will help them to produce enough milk. This comes after the county government of Kisii on Wednesday donated a cooling plant machine to milk farmers from Bomachoge Chache.

According to Kisii county governor James Ongwae who presented the cooling plant to farmers at Gucha sub county, the machine can work well when farmers produce enough milk.

He therefore challenged extension officers from the ministry of agriculture in the area to visit residents and sensitise them on how to venture into Zero grazing which will help them to produce more milk.

He also advised residents to invest more in the agriculture sector since it is the backbone of the county.

“As you are aware that our county is all about agriculture, I advise residents to continue venturing into agriculture as my government has put up measures to help farmers to develop,” advised Ongwae.
