The body of a boda boda operator was on Friday morning discovered at Munyaka Township, Gatundu North Sub County.
The area assistant Chief Joel Maina said the body of Anthony Gachunga was found at 5am by Brookside milk sellers.
Maina said the body had head injuries while the clothes the deceased was wearing were torn into pieces.
“Brookside milk sellers found the body of a known bodaboda operator at King’eero area this morning at around 5am. From the look of things, this man must have been murdered. His body had head injuries and the clothes were torn into pieces,” he said.
Maina said the deceased was likely killed at night as he was operating yesterday.
The deceased was a father of two, a son and a daughter, and was operating in the area for three years now.
The body was taken by officers from Gakoe Police station to Gatundu District Hospital Mortuary awaiting post-mortem.
The assistant chief, however, assured the residents that local administration will partner with the police to track down the killers.
