Shock engulfed a village in Nyamira south sub county after a 30-year old man hacked his brother’s three year old toddler to death, before he was lynched by an angry mob.
The incident happened at Makairo village of Ibucha location in Nyamira south, with the villagers attributing the incident to a land dispute between the two families.
The early Wednesday morning incident left residents in shock, and confirming the incident, OCS Sironga police Emmanuel Rono said the man, identified as Julius Mogoi, 30, met his death after killing his brother’s baby son before an angry mob descended on him.

“The man did not also survive the wrath of the villagers as they mounted a thorough search and when they found him they lynched him,” said Rono.
The OCS told the press that the two bodies were removed by police, and were taken to Nyamira level five hospital mortuary to await post mortem examination.
