Machakos County gubernatorial hopeful Wavinya Ndeti set a requiem mass to celebrate the life of her dear husband who was a staunch catholic, Prince Henry Oduwole.
The colorful mass was led by St Raphael Choir of University of Nairobi Students and attended by hundreds of family and friends at her home in Lavington .
"I was privileged to to receive last sacrament on last Sunday with my husband.That was my last meal I had with my husband and I really thank God for that. My husband loved me more than he loved himself," Wavinya told the congregation,
The burial is expected to be next week at their home in Lukenya.
Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko came in after the mass to pass his condolences to the family, describing Wavinya as very humble, hardworking and a God-fearing leader.
The late Prince Henry Oduwole was his close friend.
Senator Sonko will be in the race of Nairobi gubernatorial seat under jubilee ticket.
