Leaders have been challenged to stop talking about politics by initiating residents to take identification cards forgetting their mandate of development.
Speaking on Tuesday at Kisii Open Air Market, traders accused leaders who have forgotten their mandate of development and starting campaigning for next general election. Led by Elijah Ombongi, chairman to Kisii Open Air Market traders, said that this is not the time to talk about politics but it is the time for leaders to tell residents what it intends to do before the end of its term in the office.
''This is not the time for politics we need development projects let our leaders focus on development and avoid petty politics,'' said Ombongi.
He added that residents should understand well what it means to be a voter so there is no need for leaders to keep on telling them to take identification cards so that they can be voters and vote for them.
''Residents understand their mandate as voters what we want is the development of projects which will help us, let us not focus in early politics forgetting development projects,'' stated Ombongi.
