Primary schools in Kisii County have been warned against flouting examination rules and regulations of the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) during the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) Examinations.
Kisii County Director of Education Mr Richard Chepkawai warned of dire consequences if any school or candidates will be caught breaching the KNEC examination rules and regulations saying the law will take its course.
Speaking to this writer on Monday in his office as candidates rehearsed for the KCPE examinations, Chepkawai issued a stern warning to parents, candidates and teachers across the County that they will face the law if found engaging in any examination irregularities during the examination period.
"I am warning schools and their candidates of dire consequences if found going against KNEC's rules and regulations during the examinations period," warned Chepkawai.
Chepkawai clarified that the law was very clear on the management of national examinations and nobody or institution should feign ignorance and engage in examination malpractices which will compromise the candidates' final results much to the detriment of the Kenyan children's academic and life careers.
