Kikuyu town was brought to a standstill as tens of students of Ufanisi Academy carried out an academic march in the streets of the town.

The students were celebrating scoring three straights As and one A- (minus) in the released results of the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education 2015 examinations by Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i.

The school principal Antony Dero was equally enthusiastic and happy with the performance.

Jane Wanjiru, a beauty therapist in the town, after seeing the students marching in the town and shouting in joy asked what was happening. When she was informed of the performance she congratulated the students.

“Ufanisi is not a very old school in the school, and having scored such high grades is an encouragement to the students and the locals that they have a performing school in the area,” said Wanjiru.

In the same area, Alliance High School came in third in the national listing for schools with Brian Ochieng and Mutethia Mutuma scoring 84 points.

The school is located in Kikuyu constituency and one of the most admired school across the country.

Loreto Limuru girls in the constituency neighbouring Kikuyu also performed exemplary well with the first girl Robyn Wanjiru scoring 83 points.
