Taxi operators in an Uasin Gishu hotel are urging the county commissioner, Hassan Abdi, to remove all sex workers from the premises as they scare away customers.
The drivers say the inappropriate dressing and immoral behaviour of the workers scare away clients hence lowering the taxi mens' income.
Speaking on Wednesday at their premises, led by their leader Edwin Kibet, the taxi men said the women need to be moved from the premises.
"We are really loosing a lot of money since the sex workers are all over our working area. It's hard for our clients to approach us since they fear being seen near them," he said.
He said the sex workers steal from people and behave in inappropriate ways.
"I urge the Uasin Gishu County commissioner, Hassan Abdi, to come to our rescue by removing them before we close our business due to lack of client, its our only source of our income and if nothing is done will be rendered jobless. They should be relocated to another place," added Kibet.
