A nineteen-year-old man was killed by robbers on Thursday night in Kayole Estate, Naivasha.
According to a witness, Joshua Muya, the young man was in a butchery when a gang comprising five men ordered him to surrender all his cash.
Joshua said the man was shot dead by one of the gang after declining the order and attempting to resist by using his knife. The gang escaped after the incident.
It was reported that the gang had also raided another shop and walked away with around Sh 4, 000 in cash.
Naivasha residents threatened to hold a demonstration and block the Nairobi-Nakuru highway due to rising number of criminal activities in the state.
Police said that investigations are being done.
