Thika MP Alice Ng’ang’a and her constituents have lauded the move by the Devolution CS Ann Waiguru to resign.

The MP said that the move has given the Jubilee leadership a break after a series of criticisms from the opposition and a section of Jubilee legislators across the country.

Ms Ng’ang’a said that she was not for the resigning idea but it has slowed down the political heat in the country which have been manipulating the president’s work as he has been working under pressure due to the CS graft accusations.

Speaking to her constituents on Monday from Makongeni shopping centre, Ng’ang’a added that the continued stay for Waiguru in the office has been giving the opposition a chance to persistently attack the government claiming that they are favouring and prevent justice from being served to the Kenyans.

The legislator noted regretted that the leaders had gone to an extent of attacking the CS’s family which she says that will be no more now that she has shown the public that there is nothing to hide in her office and given room for any investigations.

“The resignation of Ann Waiguru is a god send because the opposition can now see there was nothing she was hiding and that investigations into the alleged loss of millions of shillings from her docket can now be investigated fully,” the legislator said.
