Three suspected thieves were arrested yesterday February 10, in Machakos town.
The gang is suspected to be stealing from business people in the town.
According to machakos OCPD Adiel Nyange the three wait for business people on their way home at night, threaten and steal from them.
The most affected area is Katelembo which is in the outskirt of Machakos town.
They were arrested in a slum in Kariobangi town.
Nyange said that police officers will not tolerate anyone engaging in criminal activities in the town as strict law will be taken on them.
"Already arrested criminals will serve as an example to the rest and with the help of residents criminal activities will come to an end in Machakos town and the county at large.
Police officers will not get tired of arresting such people," said Nyange.
He also warned anyone who might be secretly doing the same to cease as they will be arrested and heavy law taken on them.
Nyange added that the gang is suspected to be the one that killed renowed lawyer in Katelembo area last week on Monday citing that investigations are still ongoing.
