Moiben MP Silas Tiren has assured his constituents that the Sergoit-Moiben Road will be tarmacked early next year.
Speaking at Moiben Centre on Thursday, Tiren said he was working hard to ensure the road which connects Dry’s and Kachibora, is tarmacked.
He said the road which is in a poor condition, has been causing trouble to motorists especially during this rainy season.
“This is one road that has troubled many residents in Moiben constituency for quite some time, but I want to assure you that I am following up to see it tarmacked,” said Tiren.
He said the Kenya Rural Roads Authority (KeRRA) has already invited bids from contractors in the local dailies for the construction of the road and the evaluation process of the tender was already complete.
"The evaluation process of the tender is already complete and I am personally following the procurement process of the tender to ensure it does not develop cases that might delay the construction of the road,” added Tiren.
He disclosed that the advertisement placed by KeRRA closed on October 22, 2015 and the award of the tender will be done in due course. The legislator further sought to assure residents that all the constituency projects he has kick-started were on the right track.
