The National Alliance party Kisumu County branch has dismissed claims that some of its members were involved in the buying of national Identification Cards from residents in the county.
The party officials through their Chairman Ben Adega distanced from the allegations saying an ID card was a vital document and that they cannot buy the same from Kenyans.
Mr Adega accused members of the Coalition for Reforms and Democracy of peddling lies and propaganda to malign the name of the Jubilee coalition.
“Recently we were being accused of buying ID cards from people in Kajulu and Seme. This are pure lies and if there is anyone who we have bought the document from, he or she should come out and say,” said Adega.
He added that the opposition should take the required steps by collecting all the IDs that were sold, arrest the suspects and take them to the police so that they can reveal who is involved in the criminal offence.
“Cord leaders should tell us where the IDs are. We are busy selling the ideals of the party and therefore they should not try to spoil our names,” said Adega.
