Business was booming on Sunday as Kenyans bought gifts for their loved ones to celebrate Valentines Day.
In Nakuru town, business people reported that the response was quite positive and that they managed to sell most of their Valentine products.
In an interview with Naomi Wambui, who sells flowers in the CBD, customers were flocking in her shop with most of them buying in goods with less bargaining.
" I'm happy my stock is almost over. This Valentines has come with its share of good responses," she said.
Her sentiments were echoed by Richard Ogot, a salesman at Turkys Supermarket who said there was an increase in the number of clients especially those buying chocolates, flowers, customised jewelleries and clothing.
"We have been really busy due to the high number of customers coming in," said Mr Ogot.
Consequently, a number of restaurants were flocked with room attendants reporting an increase in reservations and bookings.
Valentines Day is celebrated every February 14.
