Kisii County Government and other stakeholders have been challenged to end the selling of alcohol and other drug substances near bodaboda stages across the county.
According to the of Kisii County bodaboda chairman, Mice Mose, the menace has taken root in Kisii town and its environs which need an immediate address.
Mose, who was speaking on Sunday at Gusii Stadium during the finals of the Governor’s Bodaboda Football Cup, said the problem has made many young boys start drinking since they buy liquor at a cheap price near their place of business.
He, therefore, challenged the county government and security agents, to take measures against the sellers of these drinks in order to curb the menace as one way of helping the transport sector in Kisii town.
''We can only end this menace when the county government puts measures together with security agents on how to curb this problem, so I urge our county officials to discuss this matter and have a better solution of the same,'' said Mose.
