Two high school teachers were on Thursday charged before a Kisumu court with leaking examination papers to students.
Calvin Odima and Isaac Odinga were charged before the Kisumu Senior Principal Magistrate Tom Obutu and denied committing examination malpractices.
The two were charged with exam malpractice having provided students at Lions High School with a business paper two paper before exam time on diverse dates on October this year.
They denied the charges and were ordered released on a bond of Sh100,000 each and a surety of similar amount.
Their case will be mentioned in two weeks time.
In the same court defence lawyers protested bitterly after a case in which county assembly speaker Ann Adul and other chief officers are charged with abuse of office failed to kick off.
One of the lawyers Mr Gilbert Oguso said the prosecution should close its case after it failed to avail witnesses.
The court heard that a document examiner came from Nairobi but forgot to carry his tools of trade while the investigating officer has been bereaved.
The accused are charged with single sourcing a tour of MCAs to Israel, Singapore and China on or before May last year contrary to tendering procedures at a cost of 17.4 million shillings.
The prosecution also alleges that they wilfully did not prevent the same from taking place as members of the Kisumu County Assembly Service Board.
