Everyone has their unique way of feeling loved and expressing their love. What makes you feel loved may not have the same effect on someone else.

And no matter how long you do it to them they wont feel like you do when the same is done to you. You can give your lover a car as a birthday gift, sent them flowers every day yet accuse you of not showing them love.

You wonder how crazy and blind they can be. You may feel wasted after all your efforts seem useless. The problem is that you are expressing your love in the way that makes you feel loved and it's not what makes them feel loved.

Maybe they prefer you appreciate them verbally, or spend quality time with them, or just hug and touch them, or do a simple task with them.

These are what Gary Chapman called the 5 love languages and everyone has their own one or two language which they understand the most.

And until you communicate your love to your loved one in a language they can understand then all your efforts will be in vain.

They will never understand the love you have for them. Thus, you should find out your partners love language so you can express your love to them effectively.

Either you can ask them or just observe the ways they prefer to express their love as most people do it the way they feel loved.
