The Kura Yangu Nchi Yangu group wants the government to provide them with police officers to accompany them in their mobilisation campaigns.

Speaking when they paid a courtesy call to the Nakuru County Commissioner Joshua Nkanatha, the group said some unknown people have threatened to attack them if they continue with their door-to-door voter mobilisation drive.

"We want to be protected when moving from estate to estate and village to village to mobilise voters because we have been threatened by unknown people who are not happy with what we are doing," said James Mburu.

Commissioner Nkanatha promised to work with the group to ensure that no one will stop them from their campaigns.

"The work you are doing is great and no one should stop you and we will ensure that we give you the support you need even if it means you giving you security," he said.
