Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria claims former Devolution CS Ann Waiguru is being dishonest in linking key leaders in the Jubilee coalition to the National Youth Service (NYS) corruption scam.
Waiguru named national assembly majority Aden Duale, Senator Kibchumba Murkomen, and Deputy President William Ruto’s personal assistant, Farouk Kibet as beneficiaries of the Sh791 million scam.
All the three URP-allied leaders have denied the allegations, with Duale famously saying that he was taking a sabbatical from dealing with the opposition and the Malindi and Kericho by-elections to ‘deal with her’ for linking him to the disappearance of the money.
DP Ruto has also denied having a brother by the said name.
The Gatundu South MP claims the former CS was invited to a gathering of members of parliament from Central Kenya to explain the corruption allegations late last year, and she did not implicate Murkomen or Duale. He wondered why she is doing it now.
Kuria has had to answer critics who reminded of a time when he fiercely defended Waiguru, to the extent of saying ‘those who oppose NYS projects should be killed’.
