Kabete MP Ferdinand Waititu on Monday sued the IEBC together with Nairobi governor, Evans Kidero.

The MP filed the case over the ruling on his petition against the governor. He wants the ruling declaring Kidero as the Nairobi governor reviewed. Waititu claims, through his lawyer, that the case against judge Tunoi and Kidero raises much concern over integrity of the declaration made in 2014.

He accuses Tunoi of receiving sh200 million bribe from Kidero to help deliver a favourable judgment in the petition filed by Waititu to challenge the governor’s being in power. However, both Kidero and Tunoi have denied the allegations.

Kidero said he has never even met Tunoi. The information of the bribery allegations were brought forward by a former journalist. Waititu will also sue other people including the IEBC chair, Isaack Hassan, Nairobi county returning officer, Jonathan Mueke, and IG Boinnet and the AG.
