Likoni residents are facing tough times ahead as a water crisis hits the area.
Long queues have been seen at water points starting Monday.
Water vendors have used the opportunity to cash in from residents as they sell water expensively.
The shortage comes after the Coast Water and Sewerage Company resumed supplying water at the Coastal towns after being shut following a huge debt.
Water vendors have been selling a twenty litre jerican of water at between Sh50 and Sh70.
Residents who this writer spoke to said the shortages were recurrent and called on the county government to intervene and avert a crisis.
They said they could not understand why they are facing the challenges despite being near the Indian Ocean.
"This is the second time we are facing this problem since the month of February started," Charles Odera said in an interview on Friday.
"Our leaders should intervene and help us."
