Former assistant minister and Machakos gubernatorial aspirant Wavinya Ndeti has lost her husband Henry Oduwole.

Oduwale was a certified accountant and a big businessman from a royal family in Nigeria.

Wavinya met Oduwale in the early 1990s in the UK where they were both pursuing higher education.

He has left two boys, Charles who graduated recently from City University London, Daniel and one girl called Alika.

They had a church wedding in UK and solemnized their wedding through a Kamba Traditional Ceremony held in Wavinya's matrimonial home in Mua Hills, Machakos County.

Wavinya Ndeti is vying for gubernatorial seat in Machakos County.

Political analysts have eyed that she has high chances of unseating incumbent Alfred Mutua because of her development record when she was an Mp in Kathiani Constituency besides being backed by most influential people.

She took to her facebook page to break the sad news.

"I am deeply saddened to announce the demise of my beloved husband, Dolamu Henry Oduwole, who passed on early this morning. He fought the good fight and as a family, we pray that God will grant us strength to endure this devastating loss. May God grant my families in Kenya and Nigeria, our friends, partners and the people of Machakos a comforting hand during this trying time. Rest well my Darling, till we meet again. Godspeed," read the post.
