Many students who sat for last year’s Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) are now preparing themselves on what they want to pursue.
Some Kibera candidates shed light on their future plans.
‘‘I have quite a lot of plans in store. I will enrol for a part-time short course in a quality college in town. During the day, I will be busy running my barber shop where I also charge my customers phones,’’ said Justin Waweru, one of the students.
‘‘If I get enough money for capital, I will start a business whereby, I will buy ready-made clothes and sell them. I was in Uganda during the Christmas season and I realised the dresses over there are quite cheap compared to the Kenyan prices. I will, therefore, come sell them here. That will give me a good profit,’’ Anita Sakwa, another student said.
Maurice Takai said he will join any a promising NGO to get some skills and raise some money for his tertiary education.
