I am no mind reader, neither can I see through stuff but I am certain I know what's in your pocket; a wallet and phone!
The wallet is a topic for another day. Let's focus on the phone shall we? They have come a long way. From landlines and booths to kabambes and now, the smartphone.
A few years ago, owning a phone raised your social status a few ladders but not today. Even primary school children have them.
Nakuru is in the front line as far as phones are concerned. Almost everyone has one of these. They range from the very latest to the very outdated. From the well known brands to the lesser known brands. From the expensive to the inexpensive.
Look around and you will notice a phone and accessories shop every few steps. The more known brands such as Nokia and Samsung are facing stiff competition from the new kids on the block; Tecno.
Hardly a day goes by without seeing one of them and for good reason too. They are affordable and most of them are decent enough.
Other phones that are gaining popularity include Infinix, Injoo and Wiko.
However, it is not uncommon to see phones whose names you can't pronounce.
The average Vegan has two phones. One that he/she uses day to day and the one they use while raving; kabambe.
So I ask.....what's in your pocket?
