It was not all well for President Uhuru Kenyatta when he visited Kisumu, the Coalition for Reforms and Democracy leader Raila Odinga's stronghold.
It was the sixth visit the President was making to Kisumu since he was elected head of state in March 2013.
When he made a stop-over at the famous Kondele area, he was forced to cut short his speech after ODM chanting youth shouted him down.
A section of the crowd shouted the name of the party whose leader is former premier Raila Odinga who enjoys massive support from the region.
In the previous visits, the residents had always received the President well and even earlier last year he alighted from his vehicle and walked along the Kisumu-Kakamega road in Kondele.
The president was on his way to Mamboleo where he was going to inaugurate the West Kenya Union Conference Headquarters.
Earlier, he had made stop overs in Obunga, about a kilometre from Kondele where he addressed residents and National Youth Service cohorts who had lined up along the road to receive him.
