Barely two days after the accident, the residents are calling on the relevant authorities to do something as a matter of urgency.

"This is among the biggest residential estates in Nakuru and it is obvious that food consumption is high, the two day garbage has already accumulated and being a weekend, our children are not going to school which makes the situation worse," Paul Mwaniki said.

Juliet Keneli echoed the sentiments.

"The stink coming from the accumulated garbage is unbearable, its only two days and things are already out of hand. Let them do something before cholera attacks us," she said.

A truck attached to the area was totally damaged after it was involved in an accident on Wednesday after the driver lost control.
