As the game of politics heat up in Nakuru County, with plotters burning the midnight oil in a move to outsmart their competitors, one of the biggest hurdles is for the incumbents to recapture their seats.

In Molo, the constituency bears a grim reminder on how bad things become every election period to the incumbent MP.

Since 1988 no MP has ever been elected twice, save for the once vocal John Njenga Mungai. The rest including the theatric and veteran political hawk Dickson Kihika Kimani, May his soul rest in eternal peace, were unable to recapture their seats.

Many of the MPs who were elected after Mr Mungai got elected through popular waves same to current MP Jacob Macharia who was elected on a The National Alliance (TNA).

Will Macharia break the re-election jinx and emerged a winner in the 2017 election or will he be swept to political oblivion like his predecessors?
