Kisumu county Women Representative Rose Nyamunga has challenged women not to underrate themselves as they seek elective positions.

She said women needed to believe that they can and stop begging for support from their male counterparts who often discourage them more than giving them the support they need.

She further challenged them even stop seeing other fellow women as better, she added that the agenda for women can only be pushed by women themselves.

"The agenda for women can only be pursued by the women. And women should not look unto others for support," said Nyamunga.

"Some women also look at other women to be better. You are the woman. Don't look for another," she said.

"Get confident with yourself and go ahead. And if there is someone you need to make it, then you need the Lord," she added.

She said these during a function at a King's Outreach Church in Ahero town, Nyando sub-county.

The function was also attended by Governor Jack Ranguma among other leaders.
