Kiambu deputy commissioner Nobert Komora has called on residents to expose criminals who could be living among them and help the police guarantee law and order.
Komora further wants the public to be vigilant and expose individuals who are suspected to be criminals.
He states that some criminals could be living among the citizens a situation he says has hampered efforts to tame crime.
In a briefing with journalists on Sunday at his office, the deputy commissioner said that police officers are counting on members of the public support in order to effectively curb crime.
“Members of the public should partner with us and help us (the police) to fight criminal’s gangs and other elements,” he appealed.
The deputy commissioner said that the fight against crime will bore fruits if locals volunteer information.
He said that law enforcers in the county are ready and willing to work with members of the public.
Komora on the same note issued a stern warning to criminal gangs saying that their days are numbered. He said that police have intensified patrols in all areas across the county in efforts to tame crime.
