Speaking on Friday, Ambale said the funds were lying idle at the Youth ministry and challenged them to apply for loans to kick start business projects and other productive ventures.

"Monies from the YEDF are lying idle with young people seemingly scared to apply for loans. Kindly seize this opportunity and go for the loans instead of engaging in activities that would only harm you," he advised.

The assembly minority leader advised the youth that government loans were not a matter of life and death, and if put into good use, they could easily be repaid.

He also called on the youth to apply for identity cards and register as voters.
