The Presbyterian University of East Africa, Nakuru and Milele College at weekend offered a one-day workshop on public relations to school leavers and college students in Nakuru.

The workshop at Milele College’s hall at Highway Towers mostly attracted youth who recently joined college and those just starting their careers. 

The training was free. Ms  Grace Mwituiria, the Marketing Manager at PUEA Nakuru Campus encourgaed the participants encouraged to take advantage of the training and any other opportunity that may come their way.

“The world we are living in is highly competitive and you should always grab any available chance you get to better yourself,” advised Mwituiria urging them to actively participate in the session.

The main speaker was Mr Nicholas Kimani, a Business Studies lecturer at PUEA, Nakuru.

“Public relations better known as PR is simply how you relate to people on a consistence basis,” said Kimani in his introduction. 

He went on to explain the simple things that people do that either make them to be accepted and embraced or the vice versa.

“Public relations is not only for the professional PR people but for ant person who relates with others. Whether in employment or in business, PR will make or break your career,” said Kimani.
