A Member of County Assembly in Nakuru believes the society could be a better place if young people embrace technical courses instead of idling around so as to acquire life skills.

This was especially directed to the immediate former Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education candidates who have been idle since late November last year after completing their exams.

According to Mbaruk MCA Jane Simita, idleness had over the years proven disastrous for such young minds; a phase she believes can transform individual life perception if utilized well.

"We have many middle level colleges that admit students using their mock results, engage in something meaningful, don't just be there," she advised.

In her ward, more than 20 former candidates are beneficiaries of a computer course fully sponsored by her office.
