Rongai Sub County Commissioner Daniel Koskey has expressed confidence that the fight against illicit brew in his home county is on the right track.

Addressing journalists in his office on Tuesday, amid claims that the process had been marred with bribery and threats, Koskey asserted that all was well.

“We are not going to leave any stone unturned. All corners of the county will be ambushed without notice, let them hide, we shall reach them in due course,” he said.

According to the commissioner, authorities are content with their success so far saying that the swoops have led to unveiling of different things that upon being acted on, the county will positively improve on development and service delivery.

“Through these arrests, it has come to our attention that some of our officers are corrupt and perpetrators of the ills being witnessed in the society. How can an officer use his juniors to protect an illicit brew den?” he asked.

This comes after Nakuru Town East MP David Gikaria on Monday accused some businessmen of hiding illicit brews with an aim of repackaging and selling them after the operation.

On Monday, Nakuru County Commissioner Mohammed Birik called for cooperation from all concerned parties in the fight against illicit brew.

He noted that some parties both external and internal were making the process hard.
