Experts and detectives are set to visit a farm in Elburgon today to try and unravel a puzzle concerning explosive devices found in the area over the weekend.
Area AP commander John Mwanza noted that the devices wrapped in polythene bags were discovered by a young man working on their family farm.
“He became suspicious after stumbling on the two metallic objects but luckily, we were alerted on time and liaised with county detonation officers to detonate the,” he said.
Mwanza further reassured residents not to be worry of anything saying that police had launched investigations over the issue.
“There is no need to speculate over anything, if anyone will be needed to assist in our investigations, all we call for is cooperation but as for now, the matter is under the relevant authorities,” he explained.
Residents have expressed concern questioning the legibility of law enforcers in the county arguing that their safety was at stake.
“It’s interesting how police want us to relax without proper explanations of how such dangerous devices found their way here,” said Simon Imbenzi.
The owners of the farm were not available for comment as detectives advised them not to explain what they were not sure about because of the sensitivity of the matter.
