National Council of Elders has been urged to support the Government in implementing its agenda which will help the country to develop.
Addressing elders from 47 counties who attended the National Council of Elders at Kisii University on Thursday, Ambassador Francis Mathaura urged the elders to support the government as one way of developing the country and desist from pointing fingers of accusations in cases of crisis.
He called for sober ways of resolving issues instead of engaging in unnecessary blame game.
“Let us stop pointing fingers to our leaders, instead, let us support them without interrupting them so that we can develop this country by maintaining peace that can make us to live in harmony and love,” said Amb Muthaura.
He also advised the elders to add value to the national government by helping to solve the emerging conflicts among Kenyans.
“Elders, we are a key pillar of this nation, we need to solve matters emerging in our grassroots by warning those who are doing wrong so that we can be together as one nation - Kenya, ” he urged.
