Nakuru Deputy Governor Joseph Ruto has encouraged financial institutions to set up more branches in the county to help locals access financial services at ease.

Speaking when he presided over the opening of the Diamond Trust Branch at Nakuru town on Friday, Ruto said that the county is in need of more financial services.

He observed that the county is growing at a fast rate and needs financial services among others.

Ruto also said that Nakuru has a conducive environment for business and urged both local and international businessmen to invest in the county.

“Investors should take advantage of the peace we have and set up business in Nakuru,” he said.

The deputy governor said that the government will help investors set up business in the county.

“As the government will help investors with incentives so that they can put up business in Nakuru and help grow our economy,” he said.

The deputy governor said that the government will protect investors, noting that security of the county has been guaranteed.

He said that the county’s economy will double if more investors set up business and projects in Nakuru.

The Diamond Trust Bank branch is situated in Nakuru town along the Biashara Street in Industrial Area.
