The traders Chairperson Martin Imbala speaking to this writer on Tuesday said bars in the centre are located at a strategic place in the town and lack of parking space is inconveniencing residents as well as traders.

“This two bars are located at the entry point into Maseno town and you will find that cars are parked everywhere blocking the road leading in and out of this town,” said Imbala.

Imbala said when it comes to evening hours, traders and other residents who have vehicle usually find it hard as the main road is blocked and the car owners are sometime drunk, something which delays many people.

He said the only way the menace can be brought to an end is by establishing a parking lot. “It is absurd to set up such a business and ignore key elements such as parking space, because it is obvious that some of your customers own vehicles," added Imbala.

Imbala said that if the matter is not sorted out immediately then they will be forced to find means of shutting down the two joints.

However, according to the owner of bars, nobody had complained to him that his customers were blocking the road due to lack of a parking space.
