Two former MPs from the Gusii community have asked immediate former Nyaribari Chache MP, Dr Chris Bichage to ditch the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM)Party and join Jubilee.
This move is to allegedly help him get rewarded with a state appointment by President Uhuru Kenyatta.
The former lawmakers; Dr Robert Monda (Nyaribari Chache) and Walter Nyambati (Kitutu Masaba) have challenged Dr Bichage, who lost to Richard Tong'i in a hotly contested by-election, to re-think his political allegiance to ODM and Cord before the doors in the ruling Jubilee are closed ahead of the 2017 elections.
Speaking at Amasago Primary School grounds on Sunday during a fundraiser in aid of Amasago Catholic Church towards the completion of the proposed parish priest's official residence, the two who are currently chairmen of state corporations, warned Bichage that if he continues clinging to ODM, he will be relegated to political oblivion come 2017.
Monda who is the Chairman of the Accreditation Commission challenged Bichage to consider crossing over to Jubilee for him to benefit from a state appointment instead of staying in opposition where he was politically isolated from the electorate.
"I am challenging my senior brother in politics and my junior in Nyaribari Chache politics to re-think his political future. He should consider joining us in the ruling Jubilee Coalition as soon as possible to avert subjecting himself to political cold," stated Monda amid laughter from the crowd.
Nyambati who is the chairman of the Jomo Kenyatta Foundation echoed Monda's rallying call to Bichage describing ODM as a 'bull' one cannot get milk from after working tirelessly to ensure it is well fed.
